This site is intended as a blog of travels and some of my favourite things

The original inspiration for this site was planning for our first venture to Europe, coinciding with my first experience with all things “i” –  i-Mac, i-Pad, i-Phone i-Tunes and i-Web.  Planning a holiday can be very therapeutic, and makes you think of all your favourite things, and how it balances out most of the hard work, long hours, and more difficult experiences we all live through.  Late one work night, too many things running around my head, I got up and wrote down all the thoughts in my head, and the result is a stubbed toe (note to self walking down the steps in the dark wasn’t the best idea that night!), and the content  you see on the site now.

About Us

Born in 1960, the youngest of 4 brothers, I have moved about 12 kilometres from where I was born to where we live today.  For over 30 years, I have been able to share my life with Deb, and with our children, Adrian (1989) and Emma (1991) live in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Through our respective parents hard work, love and support, we both managed to complete university and post-graduate degrees.   As well as raising a family, Deb, now retired,  had over 20 years experience in primary school teaching.  I have had a broad career with experience in public accounting,  IT Software, and the past few years as a specialist IT Manager.  I have also worked for myself and in a one-off business partnership at various stages of life.  I have had a variety of permanent and contract roles across commercial and public sector roles, including Banking, Financial and Trustee Services, and Healthcare.  As with most things in life, the most rewarding part of my job is working with people, seeing them grow, develop, and in many cases helping them to move on to bigger and better things.
